This artwork embraces the aesthetic of the former East Victoria Park car yards by utilizing up-cycled car panels as the primary material for our artwork. Through this approach, we aim to pay homage to the area's history while highlighting our commitment to a sustainable future.

Our concept revolves around creating a soft and undulating sculpture, transforming the industrial material into a warp and weft structure. Inspired by the notion of movement, we have carefully explored the malleability of the material, allowing it to adapt seamlessly to any surface.

The integrated facade sculpture will be prominently positioned above the front entry of the development on Basinghall Street. Illuminated during the evening, it will serve as a distinct landmark, complementing the lively atmosphere of the nearby cultural strip. This sculpture will have a significant visual impact on the precinct and foster a strong connection to the public realm.

In our workshop, we have conducted physical prototyping to explore the materiality of the artwork. The ongoing development process ensures a clean and simple connection to the building, creating a visually harmonious integration. The completed sculpture symbolizes the transition of East Victoria Park from an industrial precinct to the vibrant and dynamic locale it is today.
