The Pickle District: After Dark 3.0 roving art crawl returns to West Perth

TANYA MACNAUGHTON - THE WEST AUSTRALIAN

Step aside passe pub crawls because The Pickle District’s After Dark grassroots free roving art crawl returns for its third year on May 5.

Following two hugely successful events in 2021 and 2022, The Pickle District: After Dark 3.0 will provide partakers open access to West Perth’s burgeoning arts hub of art galleries and creative spaces to experience a cultural immersion of exhibitions, light installations, film, dance and music performances.

Attendees are invited to follow the map and roam between venues all within a 300m radius, including Holmes a Court Gallery, Backlot Cinemas, Cleaver Street, The Deck, Fridays Studio and Old Habits, which will also be the venue host from 9pm for an afterparty featuring live music and open dance floors.

Supported by the City of Vincent, the evening will feature vivid projections by WA artists Roly Skender, Steven Alyian and Steve Berrick, along with performances from WAAPA students and a collaboration between music group The Present and dance collective, TriplOcate DMC.
